Italian automaker Alfa Romeo has announced the UK pricing and specification for the highly-anticipated Giulia range, with prices starting from £29,180 (Rs 25.49 lakh) on-road. Featuring new rear-wheel drive architecture, ideal weight distribution and best in class power-to-weight ratios, the Giulia is one desirable proposition.
In the UK, the Giulia model range features five trim levels – the Giulia, Super, Tecnica, Speciale and the range topping Quadrifoglio. Buyers can choose between four engine variants (two petrol and two diesel) which are all paired to a new eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
Even the entry-level ‘Giulia’ trim includes a ton of active safety systems like Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian recognition and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), all of which have contributed to the car being awarded a five star Euro NCAP rating, with 98 per cent protection result for adult occupants.
Under the hood, the Giulia can be had with a range of engine options including a 200bhp, 2-litre turbo petrol, 2.2 litre turbo diesel with 150bhp or 180bhp and the brand new 510hp, 600Nm bi-turbo V6 petrol engine in the
BMW M5-rivaling Quadrifoglio super sedan.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulia range will go on sale in the UK later this year.
