Honda Cars India have kicked off the pre-launch campaign for their new SUV, the BR-V. The seven-seater SUV is expected to be launched in the first half of May and will replace the flailing Honda Mobilio in the Indian market.
The BR-V is based on the Mobilio platform and the production of the MPV has already been stalled to build BR-V stocks prior to its launch. The butch looking SUV gets a decked up front fascia sporting a wide chrome grille, projector headlamps, a large air dam, round fog lamps and chiselled bumpers. The aggressive presence is further increased by the large alloy wheels and high roof rails. The rear sports wrap-around tail lamps that extend under the wind screen. The Honda BR-V will be powered by the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, i-VTEC mill with the availability of a six-speed manual and a CVT transmission. There will also be the tried and tested 1.5-litre diesel mill from the Mobilio, which will come mated to only the six-speed manual gearbox.
The pre-launch campaign will see the BR-V travelling across the country over the next twenty days to try and showcase the versatility of the car. There will be a barrage of social media posts with the hashtag 'WhereNextWithBRV’ across the various media through HCIL’s social channels and also on the dedicated BRV website.
