Hyundai Motor India recently launched the new and updated Alcazar in the country. With a starting ex-showroom cost of Rs. 14.99 lakh, the three-row SUV gets new features, revised exterior styling, and the same powertrain options as before.
After an eventful launch of the new Alcazar, the pre-facelifted version of the SUV is still on sale but with massive discounts. Select variants are available with benefits of up to Rs. 2.5 lakh. The old Alcazar has an official discount of Rs. 55,000. However, to clear the remaining stock, dealerships are waiving off Rs. 2 lakh on the purchase of the old Hyundai Alcazar. Then there are other benefits like exchange bonuses, corporate discounts, and more, which can make the effective on-road price more accessible.
The amount mentioned is tentative and can vary on various aspects including dealerships, stock availability, and negotiation. As per our sources, the majority of stock left across the showrooms are of Platinum, Platinum (O), and Signature variants in petrol and diesel guise.
The new Alcazar gets an updated design with more features. However, the previous iteration of the Alcazar was considered one of the most feature-rich SUVs in its class with features such as a large panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitor, large infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, and an electrically adjustable driver seat.
Dimensions-wise, the new Alcazar is only slightly larger than the old Alcazar, with the same wheelbase.

Mechanically, the Alcazar is equipped with two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the former gets a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DCT, the latter is mated to a six-speed manual and an automatic torque converter unit. This configuration is the same as the new Alcazar facelift.
