Porsche first unveiled the 2014 version of the 911 Turbo in May 2013 and the carmaker is now ready with its update to the vehicle. A slightly camouflaged prototype of the facelifted Porsche 911 Turbo was spied winter testing recently.
The prototype that was spotted testing in the cold, wears minimal camouflage and gives out the details of the changes that have been made. The most evident change is the new front bumper with daytime running lights and the rear skirt with the tail lamps. The spyshot of the interior shows that the changes inside the cabin are not manyand have been restricted to the infotainment system. The system gets a new screen and the switches are changed differentiating them from the ones on the current 911 Turbo.
There are no solid details yet if there will be any changes to the powertrain of the sports car. The current version of the Porsche 911 Turbo is powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six petrol mill that churns out 520bhp of power and in another powerful version, the Turbo S, 560bhp of power. This power is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Turbo can sprint from 0kmph to 100kmph in 3.2 seconds, while the Turbo S in 3.1 seconds.
The Porsche 911 Turbo that was spied doing test runs seems to be close to its final production design and might be unveiled soon. More details will emerge soon and we shall keep you updated with the same.
