German sports car firm Porsche has just unleashed a special series for the 911 Carrera and the Boxster. Dubbed the Black Edition, this new series gets a combination of black paintwork and black interior with standard equipment including Porsche Communication Management (PCM), automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensor and cruise control.
The 911 Carrera Black Edition is based on the base-spec model with a 3.4-litre flat six engine developing 350bhp. It is being offered as coupe and convertible with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. This special edition runs on 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels and the LED headlights including daytime running lamps.
Meanwhile, the mid-engined Boxster Black Edition is powered by the 2.7-litre flat six engine with 265bhp of power. Other design highlights include 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels and the bi-xenon headlights.
Porsche has revealed that both the 911 and the Boxster Black Edition models will go on sale starting this month.
