Globally popular premium sports carmaker Porsche had globally launched the 718 Cayman and Boxster over a year ago. This time around both the cars will be officially launched in India on February 15. Both the cars are expected to be priced between Rs 80 lakh – Rs 85 lakh (Ex-showroom).
The Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxter will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that generates 296bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. The vehicle get six-speed manual transmission as well as dual clutch PDK automatic gearbox. The vehicle is capable of attaining a top speed of 275kph. The manual transmission variant is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100kph in 5.1 seconds, while the automatic does it in 4.9 seconds and 4.7 seconds with a sport chrono package.
The new 718 Boxster and Cayman gets a retuned chassis for better performance. The new model sports a wider front, tweaked side intakes and new side skirts. For freshness, the automaker has introduced new bi-Xenon headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and new LED taillights. Customers can also choose from optional full-LED headlights.
