Porsche is known to deliver impressive sports cars that not just thrill with performance, but also impresse with its style. The automaker is believed to be working on expanding its network in India. Reports indicate that Porsche will focus on having more dealerships and introduce more cars in the country. With more Porsche dealerships likely to be inaugurated in coming months, it will also mean that customers will get more service facilities in the country.
To strengthen potential customers trust with the brand, the sports carmaker will follow a strict process while giving out dealerships and will take time to allocate them. This will help the automaker outwit competition in the long run. Back in 2015, IHS Automotive report indicated that luxury vehicle sales in India stood at 35,300 units, which is expected to grow up to 87,300 units by 2020. The decision to carefully analyse new Porsche dealerships will help the brand grow in the long run.
As of now, Porsche has about six dealerships and eight service centres in the country, including Mumbai, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi. Recently, Porsche opened bookings for the 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster, which are priced at Rs 80.13 lakh and Rs 83.95 lakh respectively (both ex- showroom Mumbai). In the coming months, the sports carmaker will be introducing more models from its global line-up in India.
