Porsche has announced a recall for over 58,800 examples of the Macan S and Macan Turbo around the world. The recall, in fact, includes exactly 58,881 examples, of which 21,835 are in the United States, 3,490 in Canada and 1,198 in Great Britain.
The reason for this move is a possible leak in the low-pressure fuel line inside the engine compartment. Porsche is calling this recall as a purely precautionary measure wherein the fuel line will be replaced in the workshop.
Additionally, the automaker has revealed that only petrol-powered models are affected and owners of the vehicles will be contacted directly by their responsible Porsche dealers. Speaking of which, Porsche India sells the Macan in either S Diesel or Turbo form and it’s the latter which is under the radar. This means existing owners of the Macan Turbo in India will also be notified under this global recall process.
