Porsche’s technically loaded hybrid supercar, the 918 Spyder is in the news again. The German carmaker has issued a global recall for 918 Spyder models that have already been delivered. The reason for the recall is said to be the electric wiring harness for the radiator fan in vehicles manufactured up until the end of April 2015.
The wiring harness could be damaged by a carbon-fibre component. Porsche has announced that the component will be examined and optimally remounted in the work shop. The brand has also revealed that the cause was identified following a detailed examination of complaints.
Following the usual drill, Porsche will contact the owners of the affected vehicles. As for remedy, the company claims that the workshop visit will likely require the vehicle to be left in the shop for half a day.
