The engineers at Porsche seem to be buoyant with the amount of power they want to load up the Cayman GT4 with. The company recently launched the most hardcore Cayman and now their top executive has hinted at an even more aggressive version of the GT4 in the future.
Porsche Motorsport boss Andreas Preuninger, revealed the company could produce an RS variant of the Cayman GT4 if there’s a customers demand for it.
“This is just the beginning of the era”, he commented. “I would be interested in doing a Cayman GT4 RS version, but at the moment we didn’t even talk about such a thing. If the customers call for something like this we could think about it.”
Currently, the Cayman GT4 gets a flat-six, 3.8-litre engine belting out 379bhp and 420NM mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only.
We aren’t sure about this but we expect Porsche to add 20bhp and 30Nm more to the overall tally of the GT4.
