Porsche’s latest SUV, the Macan, will make its debut in China at the Beijing Auto Show scheduled to take place in April. The vehicle will be later launched in the Chinese car market in July.
The Porsche Macan, featuring quad LED headlights, will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine on the Macan S producing 335bhp of power. The Macan Turbo will be powered by a 3.6-litre V6 turbocharged mill churning out 400bhp of power. Another 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged motor producing 235bhp will be made available by next year which will help in lowering the price of this model.
The Chinese buyers are looking forward to the Porsche Macan and the car is already seeing a huge demand in the country. The sales of the SUV are expected to boost instantly as soon as the vehicles reach the dealerships in China. The new affordable Macan that will be introduced in the country next year is expected to boost the sales further, making China the largest market for the sales of the car across the world.
The Porsche Macan S is expected to be priced at 688000 yuan (Rs 70.45lakh) and the Macan Turbo at 988000 yuan (Rs 1.01crore).
