The facelifted version of the Porsche Cayenne is under test and is expected to be introduced in 2015. The test vehicle sported fake headlamps and tail lamps that can be mistaken to be the actual ones. Apart from this disguise, the vehicle had bare minimum camouflage.
The front grille gets revisions to the bumpers and the fascia boasts of restyled daytime running lights. The refreshed car has been designed while borrowing traits from the Macan and the Panamera. The SUV will have revamped lights as well.
The 2015 Porsche Cayenne might be powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that might produce 420bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. This means the upgrade will not just be cosmetic, but also mechanical, as the current naturally aspirated V8 engine churns out only 395bhp. The company may also come up with a plug-in hybrid which in combination of a V6 engine and an electric motor might output 416bhp of power and 589Nm of torque. This might be based on the powertrain from the Panamera S E-Hybrid.
The current Porsche Cayenne is the second generation version that was introduced in 2010 so the company is prepping up the SUV after a span of four years. This model of the Cayenne may be introduced in 2015 and we can expect it to be showcased soon.
