Porsche has added a Platinum Edition of the Cayenne SUV to its line-up at a price of Rs 1.06 crore, ex-showroom, Maharashtra. The Platinum Edition will be offered across the country for a limited period of time and will get cosmetic upgrades and additional equipment.
The Platinum Edition is characterised by a black high-gloss exterior package, bi-xenon headlamps with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and the large 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels that fill in the wider wheel arches. Along with the standard hues like non-metallic black or white, metallic black, metallic silver, metallic white and mahogany metallic, Porsche will also offer the purpurite metallic shade as an option.
Inside, the steel door sills get the Platinum Edition lettering and the Porsche crest on all headrests. The centre panel running between the driver and the passenger will be upholstered in Alcantara leather and the seats are eight-way power adjustable. It gets auto-dimming wing and internal rear view mirrors and an electrically operated panoramic sunroof. It gets the Porsche 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Bose surround sound with Bluetooth integration for mobile devices. Four-zone climate control, cruise control and electrical sun-blinds for rear passengers are standard along with reverse parking sensors and assist.
The Platinum Edition Cayenne gets two engine options – the 300bhp 3.6-litre petrol V6 engine and the 245bhp 3.0-litre diesel V6 engine. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and drive all four wheels. The Petrol Platinum edition is priced at Rs 1,06,68,000 while the diesel will cost you Rs 1,08,86,000 ex-showroom in Maharashtra. The bookings for the Platinum Edition have started and deliveries are expected to start in August.l
