Porsche announces 911 50th anniversary package

The most iconic sports car of the 20th century has touched the big 50 and it seems that Porsche wants to celebrate it in a big way. It had previously announced a limited edition of the Carrera S to celebrate the occasion and has now announced that it will offer a ’50 years of 911 package’ on all 911 Carrera models. The package costs 4911 Euros (Rs 3.82 lakh) and includes a variety of additions mostly with regard to the interiors. 

As a part of the deal you get front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats and the Porsche communication management system oh and did we mention that this deal also includes the Sport Chrono package. The German sportscar maker has also said that the items in the package when bought together are 34 per cent cheaper than buying them individually.

The package is available across most European markets expected Switzerland and in Russia for some strange reason. The big question is that will Porsche customers in India get the optional extras? We would like to believe that since Porsches are brought here as CBU getting an add on should not be too hard. There is also the fact that Indians love add on accessories irrespective of the vehicle.
