It has been called one of the best driver cars in the world for more than three decades now thanks to its sharp handling and potent flat-six engine. Yes, we are talking about the Porsche 911 which has now got its first facelift for the sixth generation car.
There are cosmetic changes both internally and externally but most importantly, the entire range now gets a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six in various states of tune. It produces 365bhp and 450Nm of torque in the Carrera and 415bhp and 500Nm of torque in the Carrera S.
Transmission options include a seven-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch AT. The facelifted 911 gets new headlamps, tail lamps and alloy wheels as part of the external changes.
The cabin has now been fitted with the German automaker’s new communication management system which has compatibility for Apple Car Play and Google Street View.
The car is being unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale in various European markets by the beginning of next year. Considering that the cars are being sold in India via the CBU route, we should ideally get it around the time it is launched in the major European markets.
