Honda’s radically different Civic Type R is on its way to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show; however, before the covers are officially taken off, the exciting new hot hatch has been caught completely undisguised. A World Car Fans reader has managed to snap the new Civic Type R in all its glory.
As expected, the production-spec Civic Type R looks every bit as striking as Honda enthusiasts were hoping for. The massive rear wing, black alloys and a menacing front-end have made their way into reality, giving the new Civic Type R an imposing road presence.
While Honda is yet to release the power output of its new 2-litre, direct injection turbo VTEC engine, the brand has officially revealed that the new Civic Type R will have a top speed of 270kmph, the highest in any front-wheel drive hot hatch.
Honda is in for a big shout out at this year’s Geneva Motor Show as the brand is set to unveil a host of new and refreshed models including the new NSX. The petrol electric sports car will make its European debut in Switzerland, 25 years after the debut of the original NSX.
