The latest-gen BMW 7 Series has gained a new flagship model. The vehicle in question is called M760Li xDrive and as you may have guessed, it’s no ordinary 7 Series. This new addition, in fact, is headlined by the firepower under the hood – a turbocharged 12-cylinder engine with enough performance to put today’s sports cars to shame. Here’s a deeper look into the M760Li xDrive.
Under the long hood lurks BMW’s new 6.6-litre V12 developing 610bhp at 5,500rpm and peak torque of 800Nm at just 1,550rpm.
The M760Li xDrive can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
The optional M Driver’s Package raises the top speed to 305kmph. Power transfer is via BMW’s familiar 8-speed gearbox as standard and xDrive all-wheel drive tech.
The rear-biased xDrive all-wheel-drive system takes its lead from the available grip levels to distribute engine power to all four wheels as the situation demands.
These 19-inch M Sport brakes, boasting blue metallic brake callipers and M badging, provide all the needed stopping power.
This performance limo is fitted with the same driver assistance systems as the standard 7 Series. These include steering and lane control assist with active side collision protection.
For those looking for a discreet luxurious look, BMW is also offering the M760Li xDrive Excellence. This variant sheds the M aerodynamic package and adds 20-inch wheels and black brake callipers.
In place of a model designation, the Excellence variant has a “V12” badge on the boot lid. The exhaust pipes meanwhile have additional chrome trim.
