It’s the four-ringed automaker’s most well-known sedan in the country. Yes, we are talking about the Audi A4 and now there is a new generation of the mid-sized sedan. The car will make its official debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show after which it will be launched for major European markets by the end of the year.
It gets a whole host of technical updates as well as an updated design which includes Audi’s famous Matrix LED head lamps. The cabin has now got a symmetrical design and a new MMI system as well as a fully-digital instrument cluster.
The engine options include a new set of four-cylinder and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The former includes a 1.4-litre TFSI and 2.0-litre TFSI.
The diesels on the other hand include a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit as well as the top-of-the-line six-cylinder 3.0-litre unit. The seven-speed double-clutch automatic is expected to be standard for all models.
The 2016 Audi A4 will come to our shores by the middle of next year with an increase in the price as compared to the current car. When launched, it will compete with the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Jaguar XE.
