Mercedes-Benz unveiled, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, its Concept IAA (a clever wordplay) car. The vehicle serves as a preview for the next generation CLS-Class as well as the S-Class sedan.
The focus of the design of this vehicle is that it has given the car what the company has termed ‘world-beating aerodynamics.’
The extreme design basically translates into a drag coefficient of 0.19 which has been achieved using active aero panels which extend the length of the vehicle by 390mm.
It also appears to be the first fastback design from the automaker indicating the direction in which the company wants to take its line of luxury sedans.
A view of the cabin reveals some familiar elements like the dual screens for the dashboard, four-seat layout and three-spoke flat-bottom AMG steering wheel.
It gets a petrol-electric hybrid engine setup that produces around 274bhp and can hit a top-speed of 250kmph.
