The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe has been unveiled ahead of its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It gets styling cues from the C-Class sedan which in turn has got it appearance from the S-Class sedan.
The exterior design includes all standard Mercedes-Benz elements including the avant garde grille, rearward sloping roof and short rear overhang. The cabin has been taken from the C-Class sedan and has the same layout and feature list.
On the engine front, the petrol variants include a 1.6-litre four-cylinder version that produces 156bhp as well as a 2.0-litre version that is available as C200 (184bhp) and the C250 (211bhp). The most powerful version is the C300 which gets the same engine but now producing 245bhp.
On the other hand, the oil burners both get a 2.1-litre four-cylinder mill that produces 170bhp in the C220 CDI and 204bhp in the C250 CDI. The coupe will be followed by the C-Class convertible and then the C63 AMG which will be the most powerful version of this generation’s C-Class lineup.
It will go on sale in Europe at the end of this year. The US market will get the car in March while we in India will get only the C63 AMG by the end of the year.
