Photo gallery: Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo at the Frankfurt Motor Show

It may still be the most expensive road-going sports car in the world but the reality is that the Bugatti Veyron is 10 years old and will soon be replaced by a newer model which is likely to be called the Chiron. They have provided a sneak-peek (of sorts) of the car with the vision Gran Turismo concept which has been developed for Japanese video game maker Polyphony Digital’s legendary video game Gran Turismo.

The Vision GT is based on the standard car but gets an aggressive body kit, low-slung stance and a really large rear wing.

Bugatti has gone with function over form and it is evident on the side. We must keep in mind though that this is a video game car which means there is no limit to the visual design.

There appears to be massive use of carbon fibre all-around in a bid to keep the weight of this concept car down to a minimum level.

Photos of the cabin show a racing bucket, digital instrument cluster, digital centre console and a racing-style two prong steering wheel.

The technical specs are sparse, but it is known for sure that the car is powered by the massive 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine with full-time four-wheel drive.

The Vision GT, despite appearing evolutionary, is a departure from the elegant looks of the Veyron. We hope that the Chiron (if it is called that) will be a mix of the two designs.
