20 years after the launch of the original Megane, Renault has unveiled the all-new fourth generation model at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. The Megane is Renault’s full-size hatchback that competes with the Volkswagen Golf and the Honda Civic in Europe.
In true Renault tradition, the new Megane looks very stylish and quirky at the same time, with its distinctive design and balanced proportions.
The fourth generation model uses Renault's new design DNA with broad, sculpted shoulders and a front face incorporating the brand's new design identity, including a large, vertical logo.
In Europe, the Megane will be available with up to six engine options from launch – three dCi diesels delivering 90, 110 or 130hp, and three TCe petrol units with outputs of 100, 130 or 205bhp.
The Renault Megane may come across as an unfamiliar name here in the Indian market, but the hatchback is probably the most popular Renault model worldwide.
Renault has unveiled that it will start selling the new Megane in Europe from early 2016.
