In recent times, automakers around the world have been working on introducing mass scale electric vehicles. In efforts to strengthen its market presence, Peugeot has revealed its plans to expand the electric vehicle range with the Partner Tepee electric vehicle. The electric version of the vehicle will be introduced at the upcoming Geneva Motor show which will be held in March 2017.
Peugeot claims that the electric version of its popular selling Partner Tepee model will have an impressive certified range of over 100 miles (161 kilometres). Partner Tepee Electric offers worry-free maintenance and offers eight years or 60,000 miles warranty for the traction battery. The company claims that connectivity is the key feature in the vehicle. The air conditioning and battery charging function can be remotely controlled via a tablet or a smartphone. Additionally the vehicle will also get features like driving assistance with hill-assist start, cruise control and reversing camera.
Inside, the Partner Tepee Electric will offer ample space like the regular model. Even with five passengers onboard, the vehicle offers 1,350 litres of boot space and with the rear seats folded it expands to 3,000 litres. Along with benefitting from tax exemptions with 2017 VED regulations, the vehicle can also be driven around in regulated emission zones as well. In addition to cars and LCVs, the automaker has also been working on electric assist bikes. Additional details about the upcoming Partner Tepee Electric will be known at the time of its launch.
