The Peugeot Partner has been spotted undergoing load testing in Europe. This new van will also be sold with a Citroen badge in several markets, christened as the Berlingo.
The current Peugeot Partner was first introduced nine years ago and has been due for an update ever since. The spy shots indicate that the new Partner will be larger in size, although it retains the silhouette and overall styling of the current car. The doors are also bigger to improve ease of ingress and egress as well as cargo loading.
While the Partner and Berlingo will share several components to save development and production costs, they will adopt different styling according to their respective brand’s design philosophy. Accordingly, we can expect a different set of front grilles, bumpers, headlights and interior layout for the Partner and Berlingo. Expect both these cars to be unveiled by the end of this year, as a 2018 model.
