This news can only be described as a good sign for both petrol and diesel car owners as the government has cut prices of petrol by Rs 2 per litre and diesel by 50 paise per litre. The revised rates are already effective across the country.
With this latest price cut in place, a litre of petrol in Delhi costs Rs 61.20, while diesel comes in at Rs 44.45 a litre in the capital.
Lately there has been a drop in global prices of both petrol and diesel. Add the depreciating INR-US Dollar exchange rate in to the equation and the impact can be seen in the form of the price cut. Perhaps this revision in prices just before the festive season is a sign of good things to come for us motorists?
