Pedro de la Rosa, who was a test driver for McLaren last year, will be back on the starting grid next season having signed with Force India for 2009.
Diario 'As' reports that the signing will be made official in a few weeks time, and that De la Rosa will combine his work as a driver for the Indian team with that of test driving for McLaren. He told the press that 'it was only a test', denying the report that the deal has been sealed.
De la Rosa has started seventy-one Formula One races in his career, with the best result a second place in Hungary in 2006 for McLaren. He has also driven for Arrows and Jaguar.
