The end of Round 5 of the Polo Cup in Chennai saw the championship leader Sailesh Bolisetti slip to the second spot as Parth Ghorpade finished first and second in the two races of Round 5.
The 17-year old Parth Ghorpade would had won the second race of the fifth round, unless he was overtaken by the charging Vishnu Prasad. Sailesh Bolisetti couldn't finish on the podium and this helped Parth to get further increase the gap.
Now, Parth is sitting with 359 points, compared to Sailesh who is on 333 points. Vishnu Prasad is third in the championship with 277 points, closely followed by Sahil Shelar at 270 points.With the final round of the Polo Cup in December, it couldn't have been more exciting than this. So, stay tuned for the final result of the Polo Cup after the sixth round in Chennai on 19th December 2010.
Commenting on the fifth round, Mr. Prithviraj Siddappa, Head of Volkswagen Motorsports India said, "We have got an amazing response for the first season of Polo Cup India. We saw a lot of action on the race track, specially since the championship will only get decided in the season finale."
