There are reports that the hypercar of the year 2012 – Pagani Huayra has been sold out. If you have the money to buy one, then be prepared to be happy with its poster or an example in the pre-owned market if someone is willing to part with the Huayra.
Only 100 examples of the car named after Wayra Tata, the god of winds, was to be made according to the agreement with AMG. Pagani and AMG struck a deal for 100 of the bi-turbo 6.0-litre V12 engine. This engine churns out a brutal 720bhp of maximum power and a heart-thumping 1000Nm of twisting force. It gets a single-clutch, seven-speed gearbox powering the rear-wheels. It has a top-speed of 370kmph and does the sprint to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds.
These are still rumours and we would wait for an official statement from Pagani on the vehicle being sold out. However, there are also reports indicating that we might see a Pagani Huayra Roaster at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Meanwhile, Koenigsegg is readying the pinnacle of hypercars, which would be referred to as a megacar – the Regerra with power in excess of 1250bhp.
