The upcoming Pagani Huayra BC which is set to make its official appearance at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show has been unofficially detailed. The BC in the name is expected to stand for Benny Caiola, an avid supercar collector and Pagani fan who passed away in 2010.
As is the standard way to make a hypercar even more hyper, Pagani has lightened the car by 150 kgs which is a massive amount considering that the regular car weighs just 1350kgs! The body also gets additional air intakes, modified side skirts, larger wheels and a new diffuser package to increase downforce. However, the main highlight will be a new rear wing that generates 500kgs of downforce at 250kmph. The cabin will be based on the Zonda Cinque but with a few sportier touches.
The engine will continue to be the 6.6-litre AMG V12 that has been fettled to produce an additional 100bhp over the ‘standard’ car’s 738bhp. The torque figure too will be more than the stock output of 1000Nm. We suspect that this extreme performance will result in a sub three second 0-100kmph time.
In a very obvious way, the 20 units of the BC that will be produced have already been sold out for a rather hefty price tag of 2.8 million USD (Rs 19 crore).
