Ford Motor Company has unveiled an electric prototype of the Mustang, known as the Mustang Lithium. Built in collaboration with Webasto, the model is powered by an 800V battery system with EVDrive Technology.
The Ford Mustang Electric produces a power output of 900bhp and 1335Nm of torque. The model features a manual transmission and uses a drag-strip proven Calimer-version of the Getrag MT82 six-speed transmission with billet internals.
The Mustang Lithium features custom carbon fiber body components, 1.0-inch lowered stance (compared to the regular model), 20-inch staggered fitting forged wheels, Ford Performance’s Track Handling Pack and strut tower brace, Brembo six-piston front brakes from the Shelby GT350R, Sankuer Composite Technologies side splitters and rear diffuser, Webasto hood with see-through polycarbonate windows, TurboDX charging solution and TurboCord portable charger.
Additional features of the one-off Ford Mustang Lithium include a unique set of drive modes that apply a controlled amount of torque for different driving scenarios including Valet, Sport, Track and Beast, and are instantly available on demand via a custom in-dash 10.4-inch touchscreen display.
