The one and only RHD spec Koenigsegg One: 1, being built, has been previewed as a rendering, ahead of its completion, which is expected to be mid-2015. The car is being built for a group called the ‘BHP Project’ and is one of the nine production units of the mega car that will be built.
The RHD- spec One:1 will be trimmed out in a shade of Navy blue with the centre section and air intakes being left in naked carbon fibre. The blue colour is being complemented by white strips that run beside the naked carbon fibre bits. The interior as expected will be exactly the same as the LHD -spec cars and this is expected to include the naked carbon fibre trim, retro futuristic centre console with touch screen and single piece instrument console.
By now, the name One:1 must be sounding quite intriguing and you are probably wondering what has possessed the Swedish automaker to name its most spectacular vehicle on the lines of a software update? The One: 1 derives its name from the fact that it weighs 1341kgs and the output from its twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 is 1341bhp and 1371Nm of torque giving it a perfect power-to-weight ratio of One: 1.
What is the result of such immense power? A 0kmph-400kmph time of 20 seconds and a top speed of 440kmph! On the other side, it takes 10 seconds to come back from 440kmph-0kmph. While that may sound astonishing, it almost seems obvious that the car will travel a significant distance and probably smoke away half the life of its specialised tyres in attempting to come to a halt.
We have no word on the price but anything that the imagination should choose to conjure above the million dollar mark will work quite nicely.
