Hyundai has launched the facelifted version of the old i10 hatchback, now, in Nepal. It is the same car that is currently available in India and follows the launch of the Grand i10 there.
This variant marketed as the next-gen i10 has been launched by the manufacturer through Laxmi Intercontinental P. Ltd. It is the only distributor of Hyundai Vehicles in Nepal. This vehicle gets all the features that are currently available in the model that is sold in India. The additional feature is the inclusion of a 7-inch touch-screen multimedia system with Bluetooth. The top-end version comes equipped with dual front airbags and ABS.
The Hyundai i10 is powered by the 1.1-litre iRDE2 engine that produces 68bhp of power and 99Nm of torque. This mill comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission and delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.81 kmpl.
The i10 has been selling in Nepal for five years now and the company has sold over 5,000 units of the same. Now that the distributor has put the refreshed version of the Hyundai i10 on sale with a cash discount and first year free insurance, it is expected to return even better volume of sales for the company. Currently, the successor of this car, the Grand i10 is enjoying a good demand in that country. With the addition of the updated i10, Hyundai has extended their Nepal portfolio of cars which include the Santro, Eon, Grand i10 and the old i20.
