As the talks between the Indian Petroleum Minister Murli Deora and senior employees of the PSU oil companies failed to reach any conclusion, the oil companies continued with their strike for the second consecutive day.
The employees of the oil majors like Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Indian Oil Corporation continued with their strike, but Hindustan Petroleum Corporation continued with its production providing some relieve to the consumers. The strike has started to affect the consumers as most of the petrol pumps have almost dried up resulting in long queues at the pumps which are left out with limited amount of fuel.
As per the sources, the oil companies will call of strike very soon, though there hasn’t been any official comment.
