Maruti Suzuki is currently running a promotion where it is offering instant delivery of the Swift diesel. The company began the campaign March 9 and it will continue till March 17. According to a report from Indiancarsbikes, the cars will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be offered with no discounts.
While Maruti Suzuki is not offering discounts on the diesel Swift, the petrol variants selling in small number continues to be offered with a discount. The Indo-Japanese automaker is also offering the Ritz diesel for a discount of up to Rs 45,000, while its petrol twin is being offered with a discount of Rs 25,000.
While is certainly a lucrative offer for the customers, it needs to be inspected a little more carefully. We suspect that these might be 2012 production units and hence have very few takers. If that is not the case, then no waiting period for the Swift is clear indication of the slowdown in the Indian automobile industry.
