- Teaser video reveals key design details
After unveiling the X-Trail for the Indian market back in November 2022, Nissan has finally hinted that the updated SUV will be introduced soon, courtesy of a teaser video shared by the carmaker.
The Nissan X-Trail was showcased alongside two other models, including the Qashqai and Juke SUVs. The teaser image confirms key details of the upcoming three-row SUV, such as the inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, split headlamps, new grille with horizontal slats and a chrome surround, and a front camera.
Elsewhere, the Nissan X-Trail will feature contrast-coloured skid plates, wraparound two-piece taillights, door cladding, rear wiper and washer, integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, shark-fin antenna, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
The interior of the 2024 X-Trail will boast of features such as a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery, large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, engine start-stop button, digital instrument console, ADAS suite, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
Powering the X-Trail would be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an electric motor while transmission options could be limited to a CVT gearbox. Once launched, it will rival models such as the BYD Atto 3, MG Cloud EV, Jeep Compass, and the Volkswagen Tiguan. Notably, the 2024 X-Trail will be brought to Indian shores via the CBU route.
