The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid has been spied testing in Chennai ahead of its scheduled launch later this year. The SUV was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and will be the second generation in the Indian market.The car in the photos is sans any camouflage indicating that the Japanese automaker may just be performing final tests for Indian conditions before launching the car. It will be launched in the D+ segment and be priced closer to Rs 30 lakh. It will be brought into the Indian market via the CBU route and be offered only in the hybrid setup. This comprises a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 31kW electric motor that has a combined output of 186bhp and 367Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a CVT and an AWD system.In terms of design, the car sports an evolutionary one. It has grown longer, wider and got all the latest Nissan design elements like the V-grille, swoopy headlights and heavily flared wheel arches.
