Nissan has unveiled the next edition GT-R, which will go sale in the UK during the latter part of 2013. Launched in 2007, the GT-R is an incarnation of the famous Godzilla Skyline series of cars that were known for their high tunability and extreme performance. The GT-R sets precedent for what modern sports cars should be designed like, cost and has since then ruled the roost.
The 2013 GT-R features many modifications to the underpinngs to ensure that it is even crazier to drive than its predecessor. Changes have been made to the front springs, dampers and anti-roll bars to lower the cars centre of gravity. New components have been added to the front suspension to improve cornering.
The Japanese automaker has also reinforced the areas around the cabin to improve body rigidity and further improve the suspension. Under the hood of what we still wish to call ‘the Godzilla’ is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 engine producing 542bhp and 628Nm of torque. Nissan has also tweaked the mill to improve the mid-upper revs, something we are sure they have done to improve the GT-R’s cruising capability.
While Nissan has never hinted at bringing this G-force inducing land rocket to India, we hope that they will at some point in the future offer it at least as import on demand basis.
