The Terrano’s impressive driving dynamics have caught the fancy of many SUV lovers in the country. The recently launched Renault Duster AMT, which is built on a similar perform, has attracted a large number of potential customers. In an effort to address growing customer demand for AMT cars, the automaker will introduce Terrano AMT sometime in November this year.
The current Nissan Terrano SUV is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine which puts out 104bhp of power and 145Nm of torque, while its diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre engine in two tunes – 85bhp and 110bhp. The Japanese automaker will introduce the six-speed 'Easy-R' unit from the Renault Duster. However, the AMT option will only be available on the 110bhp variant. Additionally, the company might also offer features such as traction control and hill-climb assist.
The new Nissan Terrano AMT will not get any exterior design upgrades for now, however, the interior might get minor upgrades in the form of revised upholstery. Moreover, Nissan is also expected to offer touchscreen music system with navigation and automatic climate control. In order to clear the existing lot and make way for the newer version, the automaker has announced benefits of up to Rs 80,000 along with a special interest rate of about 7.99 per cent.
