Nissan has launched the Kicks in India in the price bracket of Rs 9.55 lakhs to Rs 14.65 lakhs. There are both petrol and diesel engine options and all the features that are considered standard in the segment. The Japanese automaker will, however, be the first in the segment to implement a new subscription-based system that will debut with the Kicks.Â
A common practice in the west, a subscription-based model would see the car being leased out for a monthly fee that Nissan says will work out to just Rs 11 per kilometre. The option to lease the Kicks will be offered across the range in both petrol and diesel models.
The fees will also include insurance, maintenance, 24/7 road side assistance and the user will also have the option to upgrade their car at any time during the leasing period. The company has said that it will reveal details of the full leasing programme next month.
