Nissan has said that it will debut sub-370Z electric-hybrid sports car at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show slated to take place in November. The car has already been previewed via the esflow concept that was shown during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The esflow concept is powered by two electric mills that sit above the rear wheels (one for each). The mill gets its juice from the same lithium-ion battery pack that sits in the leaf EV and is good for about 260km and gives the car a 0-100kmph time of just under five seconds.
The company has refused to provide any details about the vehicle and said that everything would be revealed at Tokyo. Andy Palmer, executive vice president of Nissan, also said that there was room for petrol electric and pure electric but once again did not hint what was going to power the car.
This vehicle when launched will join a host of vehicles from the Japanese automaker like the NV200 electric, Leaf and most probably the next generation GT-R that is slated to be a hybrid-electric.
