What you see in the pictures is the hotter Nissan GT-R Nismo being tested on the Nurburgring. Although the car doesn’t seem to look a whole lot different from the current-gen, it is expected to feature a lot more performance.
Sources state that this should be possible by heavily reworking the Nismo’s present twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 motor. While this powertrain makes 600bhp and 651Nm of torque in its current state of tune, we can easily expect a healthy increment. Plus, it is clear that Nissan has worked on the aerodynamics since the test prototype can be seen with new fender vents. Additionally, braking power looks like it has been enhanced as larger brake calipers are also visible.
Apart from this, there’s hardly any information available on the new GT-R Nismo, and Nissan has increasingly been tight-lipped about the car. Sources expect the revised Nissan GT-R Nismo to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show that kicks-off later this month. This show will also be home to new cars such as Toyota’s new Supra and Mazda’s updated RX Vision coupe. Stay tuned to CarWale for the details.
