Building potential customer interest further, Nissan has released teaser for the upcoming Terrano AMT in the country. The Japanese automaker will be launching the new model before the end of this year. The new Terrano variant will not get major cosmetic upgrades and changes will be restricted to technical upgrades.
Under the hood, the Nissan Terrano SUV is offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.6-litre petrol generates 104bhp of power and 145Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel is available in two tunes - 85bhp and 110bhp. The Terrano will also get the ZF-sourced Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) system, which also serves in the Renault Duster. However, the Duster comes with an all-wheel drive option, but it is unlikely that Nissan will offer AWD option on the Terrano anytime soon.
Nissan might introduce fresh interior upgrades in the form of revised upholstery. The Japanese automaker might also offer touchscreen with navigation and automatic climate control. The Duster AMT is available in RxL and RxZ variants which are priced at Rs 11.76 lakh and Rs 12.97 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. We can expect The Terrano to be priced around Rs 11-14 lakh. More details about the vehicle will be known in the coming days.
