Just when you thought the recalling season was over another Japanese carmaker breaks the news. Nissan has now recalled 5400000 vehicles for problem in braking pedal and fuel gauges.
Nissan is recalling 540,000 pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles and minivans, most of them in the US. Titan, Armada, Quest and Infiniti QX56 vehicles built between 2008 and 2010 are affected by the recall.
The carmaker has come out saying that there has been no accident due to the fault. The company has been notifying all owners of the vehicles to bring back their vehicles to get checked.
Explaing the faulty gauge, officials have explained that due to a problem with a sensor inside the fuel tank, the gauges can show gas tanks a quarter full when they are in fact empty. On the faulty break pedal problem it said that they have identified problems with break pedal pins that comes loose.
Only a day back, Nissan had unveiled their small car Micra with ambitious plans across the world including India.
