Come October 28 and Nissan will unveil its new SUV concept at the upcoming Sao Paulo Motor Show. The Japanese automaker has even released a teaser image, giving us all a sneak preview of the concept model.
Very little is known about this new SUV concept and the press release issued by Nissan isn’t much of a help either. It simply reads, “Prepare yourself for the world premiere of Nissan’s new concept car at Sao Paulo Motor Show 2014.”
Looking at the teaser image, it can be said that the SUV concept will be a bold looking vehicle for its kind. The signature V-shaped grille, sculpted hood and sweptback headlights all do their bit to make the front-end look striking. Other visible design cues include chunky roof rails and flared wheel arches, giving the concept an imposing presence.
In Brazil, the production-spec model is expected to compete closely with the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport. Nissan currently doesn’t have a compact SUV for the Brazilian market and this upcoming new model could just be the Japanese automaker’s ticket to the burgeoning compact SUV segment.
