Nissan has opened its third parts distribution hub outside Pune to cater to the western side of the country. This is the third hub after Chennai and Gurugram and will cater to dealerships located in Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Daman and Diu and parts of Madhya Pradesh.
The facility, located in the Chakan area of Pune, is built over an area of 60,000 Sqft and employs 80 personel for management, distributions and operations. The arrival of this distribution centre is expected to help Nissan go beyond the 96 per cent fill rate (measurement of how many customer orders can be met from existing dealership inventory) that it has achieved in the 2015 fiscal year. Further it is also expected to reduce parts supply times to under five days.
Commenting on the opening of the distribution centre, Arun Malhotra, managing director said, “Nissan is a customer centric organisation and we are focused on providing the best after sales experience to our customers. We have brought the best global customer service practices to India, and we are continuing to invest with our new parts distribution centre in Pune to come closer to our customers.”
