Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) registered its highest ever domestic sales of 1857 units in the month of January 2011 as against 40 nos. in January 2010. The Nissan Micra lead the sales figures with 1784 units being sold in the month of January. The company has so far sold 8225 units of Nissan Micra since its launch in July 2010.
The X-trail and the Teana too were part of the total sales in January 2011. The Micra Diesel which was launched in December was Nissans attempt to turn the peoples attention to its small car but then again the pricing of the car did not work in the favour. what everyone is looking forward to though is the Nissan Global Sedan. Christened as 'Sunny' in China, we await Nissan's first venture into the sedan segment in India. Nissan has always had a few suprises up its sleeves and lets wish that this year is full of them.
