The much awaited Nissan Micra was launched today in New Delhi. In all our reviews we’ve constantly highlighted the fact that the Micra’s pricing would play a pivotal role in determining the success of the car in India.
The ex-showroom price (Delhi) of all the variants of the Micra are:
Micra XE is priced at Rs. 3,98,000
Micra XL is priced at Rs. 4,69,500
The top-end XV variant is priced at Rs 5,28,800

We think that the car is priced slightly on the higher side.  If it would have been priced at around 3.5 lakhs it would have possibly generated more interest in the car. Its now upto the Indian consumer to take a bite at it and only sales figures over the next few months, will show us the real picture.
