The Nissan Kicks SUV brochure has been leaked ahead of its launch on 22 January. The SUV comes in four petrol and four diesel variants besides seven single tone paint schemes as well as four dual tone paint schemes, but only for the XV pre and optional variants. We have already driven the Nissan Kicks and you can read about that here. Bookings for the SUV are already underway.
All variants of the Kicks get dual front airbags, LED DRLs, height adjustment for the driver’s seat, power windows, power mirrors with integrated indicators and climate control with rear AC vents. On the other end of the scale, the XV Pre-Option variant gets four airbags, LED headlamps, hill start assist, rear fog lamps, 360 degree surround camera, button start and an 8.0-inch display for the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatible system.
The entry-level XL variant is being offered with a total of seven paint schemes – white, silver, grey, orange, blue, black and red. The top-of-the-line XV Pre-Option is being offered with dual-tone paint schemes. These include white and orange, white and black, grey and orange and red and black.
The Kicks is being offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The former is good for 105bhp/142Nm with a five-speed manual and ARAI certified efficiency of 14.23kmpl. The diesel produces 108bhp/240Nm with a six-speed manual and an ARAI-certified efficiency of 20.4kmpl for the XL variant and 19.39kmpl for the XV variants.
The Nissan Kicks will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia SP2i (in production guise), Renault Duster as well as the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. It’s expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs.
