Nissan opened bookings for the upcoming Kicks SUV on 15 December 2018 for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Ahead of its anticipated launch later this month, the SUV has already started arriving at the dealerships. The vehicle gets sporty design highlights in the form of dual tone floating roof, signature V-Motion grille, door mounted ORVM with indicators, shark fin antennae and LED projector headlamps with DRL.
Under the hood, the Nissan Kicks will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine option borrowed from the Captur and the Duster. As for the interior, the Kicks features a dual tone beige and black combination and quilted leather inserts for the seat back and base. Along with other convenience features, the Kicks will also get features such as climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with a floating display and height adjustment for the driver’s seat.
The premium SUV from Nissan competes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and the upcoming production-spec version of Kia SP. The instrument cluster is a mix of analogue (tachometer and fuel gauge) and digital (trip computer and speedometer). The vehicle also gets a segment first 360-degree camera along with other safety features such as dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. The top spec version will be offered with four airbags.
