- Nissan Kicks, Datsun Go and Go+ petrol CVT likely to be launched by the end of 2019
- All three petrol-powered variants of the models are currently available only with a five-speed manual unit
Nissan India could launch the CVT variants of the Kicks, Datsun Go and Go+ in India soon. The automatic variants of the aforementioned models are expected to go on sale by the end of the year. Currently, all three models with a petrol engine are available only with a five-speed manual transmission.
The Nissan Kicks will follow suit with other Nissan products and soon receive a CVT transmission. This transmission will be paired to the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 105bhp at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The Datsun Go and Go+ siblings will also come equipped with a CVT option in the near future due to the rise in the demand for automatic vehicles. Powering the models will be a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 67bhp at 5,000 rpm and 104 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
